Privacy policy

What data we collect, why, for how long and how to exercise your rights.

Updated on October 7, 2026 ✓ Information verified on October 5, 2026 adapted version of the Portuguese original

This policy explains how the Península de Maraú Guide (peninsulademarauguide.com) handles personal data, in accordance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).

What data we collect

We only collect what you send through the forms:

  • Contact: name, email, subject and message.
  • Business listing: business name, category, address, website, Cadastur number (optional), name of the person in charge, email and additional information.

To protect the forms against abuse and spam, we also record an anonymized technical identifier derived from the IP address, used only to limit repeated submissions. We do not ask for phone or WhatsApp numbers.

What we use it for

  • To reply to your message;
  • to check and, where appropriate, publish the business listing in the business directory, only with the name, category, address, website and source. The details of the person in charge are not published.

We do not sell, rent or share your data for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Submissions are stored for up to 180 days and are then deleted automatically, unless they need to be kept to comply with a legal obligation or to maintain a published listing.

Audience measurement and cookies

When you enter the site, a cookie notice appears. Before you click “OK, got it” or the X on the notice, no measurement or advertising cookies are stored. After you click, the site may use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits in aggregate (cookies such as _ga and _ga_*) and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure visits and form submissions linked to campaigns (cookies such as _fbp). This data is processed by Google and Meta under the Google Privacy Policy and the Meta Privacy Policy, and may be processed outside Brazil. To withdraw consent, delete this site’s cookies and data in your browser.

Ads are not shown at the moment; if they are switched on, this policy will be updated first. Ads never appear on forms or institutional pages.

Simple preferences, such as language and light or dark theme, are stored only in your browser.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, as well as information about how it is processed. Make your request through the contact form, choosing the subject “Other” and giving the email address you used.

The guide links to official and third-party websites. Each has its own privacy policy.

Updates

This policy may be updated. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
