The English Wikipedia lists among Maraú’s beaches Algodões, Arandi, Barra, Cassange, Mangueira, Piracanga, Saquaíra, Três Coqueiros, Taipu de Fora and Campinho. They fall into two types:
- Bay beaches, such as the one at Barra Grande, with calmer water.
- Open-sea beaches on the Atlantic coast, such as Taipu de Fora, Cassange, Saquaíra and Algodões, with coconut groves and waves on many days.
