Updated on October 7, 2026 ✓ Information verified on October 6, 2026 adapted version of the Portuguese original
Ponta do Mutá is at the very tip of the peninsula, in Barra Grande, facing the entrance to Camamu Bay. In the late afternoon, this is where many people gather to watch the sun go down over the bay.
Tips
- Arrive half an hour before sunset to get a good spot.
- Bring insect repellent: once the sun is down, the mosquitoes come out.
- On the way back, use a flashlight if the path is dark.
To round it off
Have dinner in the village afterwards. See where to eat.
